This is absolutely gorgeous!! I love the blue, it's my fav color, and the way this piece comes together. Makes me want to hug him because he's "Alone". I also love the look of what I see as the Northern Lights. I'm very impressed!
You came into this world, originated from the bloodline from countless generations. You were raised among those who cared for you, loved you, and taught the ways of your ancestors that came before you, for you to be able to walk the path that had been shown to you.
You were part of a team, formed by the changing forces around you, and brought together in trying and dangerous times. They were called animals and madmen, who eventually you took to call brothers; family. Every time you were in the thick of battle and no escape was clear, they pulled you out of the fire. Whenever you felt like the world was turning on you and you crumbled to the ground, they picked you up and dusted off your shoulders, telling you that you are the best damn soldier they have ever seen, and said it was a priviledge to call you a friend.
Was it enough?
Here you stand, alone, torn, and falling apart for the grave mistake you made. You walked the path that was laid for you, but at what toll? The ones that called you friend is gone, laying lifeless on the ground with crimson rivers forming in the snow. And in the middle of it all, you can see the reflection of your face in the pool of blood formed by your family, accusing you for the actions done to them and their kind.
Can you recognize yourself? I can. I could always see what you truly were. Out of it all, no matter how much you loved them, and no matter of how much you grieve, your inner you have emerged and hardened. Feelings no longer matter to you. Your path has led you to what you have become. You do not fear death, nor life. Your only friend is your shadow, always reminding you of what you truly are.
