well than now that i have fixed up your sentence here is my part
Wolfroad did not hunt them for their pelts, they were probably hunted for population control or for being a pest and killing livestock or for other reasons.
The pelts are salvaged and sold otherwise the pelts would just rot away.
I myself have a pelt and tails and would love to venture further into this world of taxidermy. I have the most respect for animals than anything else.
